Current experience

Bricks‘N’Mortar Property Development & Investments

Property Development, Investment & Research

I am currently gaining further exposure to the property development and investment industry through working remotely at Bricks‘N’Mortar Property Development & Investments. This has given me an opportunity to develop my understanding of how property opportunities are explored, how existing buildings can be transformed and how residential and commercial developments are considered from both a design and investment perspective. I am particularly interested in the relationship between architecture, development potential, property investment and creating spaces that serve people's needs.

what I did

  • Exploring residential property development and investment opportunities.
  • Understanding how existing buildings can be converted into multiple residential units.
  • Exploring architectural concepts, floor plans, building layouts and 3D property visualisations.
  • Developing an understanding of property regeneration and making better use of existing buildings.
  • Learning about residential and commercial investment strategies.
  • Exploring how development costs, property values, rental opportunities and market demand influence decisions.
  • Understanding how developments can contribute to housing supply and local communities.

career ambitions

I am currently exploring opportunities that align with my long-term career interests. Although I am no longer undertaking the Level 3 Property Management Apprenticeship, I remain very eager to secure another apprenticeship or a suitable long-term position within the property and housing industry.

I am particularly interested in opportunities with established estate agencies, property management companies, housing associations, residential developers, commercial real estate businesses and other organisations within the built environment.

My ambition is to gain practical experience, work towards recognised professional qualifications and develop into a knowledgeable and confident property professional.

I would particularly value an opportunity that allows me to combine employment with further study, including professional qualifications through ARLA Propertymark or the Chartered Institute of Housing.
