✦virtual viewing · for renters

see it before you view it

Renting often means deciding quickly from a few photos. A walkthrough like this lets you understand the flat properly first — the layout, the light, where your furniture would go. Explore this one-bedroom flat as if you were at a viewing.

Walk with W A S D or the arrow keys, drag to look around, use the 🔍 buttons to zoom, and tap the floating markers (or the room names) for details. On a phone, use the on-screen arrows.

Open-plan living and kitchen space with room for a sofa, a small dining table and a kitchen run along the back wall.

One open space for cooking, eating and relaxing — easy to furnish and easy to keep tidy.

Bedroom

A comfortable double bedroom with space for a wardrobe and a window over the garden side of the building.

A proper double room with wardrobe space, away from the front door and the living area.

Bathroom

Compact bathroom with a full-size bath, basin and toilet, finished in light neutral tones.

A full bath, neutral finish — the kind of bathroom that doesn't need explaining at a viewing.

Hallway

Entrance hallway connecting every room, with space for coats, shoes and a small console table.

Your own front door and hallway — no shared corridors inside the flat itself.

renting and the housing sector

Good renting depends on good property management: clear tenancy information, well-maintained homes and landlords who respond. That's the side of housing I'm most interested in — I'm a student member of ARLA Propertymark and the Chartered Institute of Housing, and tenant and landlord relationships are a big part of what I study.

The Manchester scenario in my projects looks at exactly this: the same converted building works whether the flats are sold or kept as rental homes.
